When can I add Protection<360>®?

You can add Protection<360> while making a qualified T-Mobile device activation and/or purchase and lease or finance a new device. We recommend protecting your phone or device at the time of purchase, but if you prefer to add Protection<360> afterward, it must be within 30 days of your transaction. The device will need to pass a visual and mechanical inspection in a T-Mobile store. Adding Protection<360> is optional and may be canceled at any time. Protection <360> is not available for prepaid customers. In New York, other plans are available.

How much does Protection<360> cost per month?

The cost for Protection<360> can range from $7 to $25 (+ applicable tax) per month per device, depending on your device type.

Is there a limit to the number of claims I can make if I have Protection<360>?

You can have up to five accidental damage, loss, or theft claims within any rolling 12-month period based on the date of first repair or replacement. There’s no limit on hardware service (mechanical breakdown) claims.

How do I get unlimited screen protector replacements through Protection<360>?

If you purchase an eligible screen protector from T-Mobile on the same day you enroll in Protection<360> or after, you can get it replaced in-store at no additional cost. Liquid glass screen protectors are excluded.

What devices does McAfee® Security for T-Mobile with ID Protection support?

McAfee® Security for T-Mobile with ID Protection supports PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets running the following operating systems:

You can add the McAfee® Security for T-Mobile with ID Protection software to up to 10 eligible household devices.

Is there a service fee/deductible?

How do AppleCare Services work?

Apple® may provide service and technical support for eligible devices with Protection<360> through AppleCare Services. If you have a non-T-Mobile branded (BYOD) device, AppleCare Services are not included.

If your Apple device is eligible for AppleCare Services, this service is available during the first 24 months from the date you enroll in Protection<360> and as long as your plan coverage remains uninterrupted.

What is McAfee® Security for T-Mobile with ID Theft Protection?

McAfee® Security for T-Mobile, accessible via the McAfee® Security for T-Mobile app, provides privacy and identity protection to give you the confidence to explore freely online—anywhere, anytime. McAfee® Security for T-Mobile with ID Theft Protection helps you:

  • keep your identity and devices secure from online threats, including the latest viruses and malware
  • steer clear of phishing by blocking malicious websites automatically so you can browse safely
  • be warned of unsecured Wi-Fi connections and hotspots
  • scan and monitor your personal data online with breach alerts and protection tips

How does the JUMP!® Upgrades benefit work?

JUMP!® Upgrades is an early device upgrade benefit for T-Mobile Protection<360> customers. With JUMP!® Upgrades, you’re eligible to upgrade your qualifying current device that you purchased on a monthly payment plan once you've paid 50% of the device cost. Then at time of upgrade, the remaining monthly payment plan balance will be paid off.

Who is the provider of device protection?

Property insurance is underwritten by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida in all states except New York. In New York, property insurance is underwritten by the American Security Insurance Company. The Service Contract Obligor is Federal Warranty Service Corporation in all states, except in CA—Sureway, Inc.; in FL—United Service Protection, Inc.; in OK — Assurant Service Protection, Inc. These companies operate under the trade name Assurant. McAfee® Security for T-Mobile is provided by McAfee, Inc. The McAfee® Security for T-Mobile app and the Protection<360>® app by Assurant® aren’t insurance products or service contracts and are part of Protection<360>.

How do I file a claim?

Customers may file a claim online at mytmoclaim.com, in the Protection<360>® app by Assurant®, or by calling 1-866-866-6285.

For loss/theft claims, you may need to call T-Mobile to suspend service. You may be required to disable the Find My phone feature prior to making a claim and before sending back a claimed device. Remember to file a claim within the timeframe indicated in your coverage documents.

You will need the following:

  • Device details, including make and model, and information explaining what happened to your damaged or lost device
  • Contact info. Have your my.t-mobile.com user ID and password handy so we can verify your identity. We may ask you for your picture ID in the claims process.
  • Payment method for service fee/deductible
  • Shipping information (domestic US only)

You may be required to provide additional documentation (such as a proof of loss form) to process your claim.

How long will it take to receive my replacement device?

Once a claim is approved, your replacement device will be shipped overnight, at no charge where available, for delivery within one to two business days. Claim approvals may take up to several days depending on the type of claim and timely receipt of all needed documentation. Holidays may impact shipping times. How do I file a claim using AppleCare Services?

The best place to start is at support.apple.com. Answer a few questions and you’ll be presented with options to help resolve your issue.

You can also start the claim process with Assurant® by clicking on the File or Track a Claim box online at: https://mytmoclaim.com/. Enter your mobile number and continue to follow the instructions on the screen.

Once my claim is approved, what are my service options?

When you file a claim, we’ll present you with the replacement option available to you, which may include service through Apple for eligible devices, device replacement through JUMP!® Upgrades, advanced exchange replacement by mail or a repair service.

If your claim is authorized for replacement:

  • it will be replaced with a reconditioned device of like kind and quality. If a reconditioned device isn’t available, we’ll replace it with a new device of like kind and quality. Device color may vary depending on availability.
  • it will be shipped the next business day, when available, at no additional cost to you once your claim is approved by Assurant.
  • you’ll have 10 days to return your damaged device to avoid a non-return fee. Prepaid shipping materials and instructions on how to return the device will be provided.

If your claim is authorized for walk-in repair:

  • you’ll receive a notification with the repair location
  • replacement parts used for repairs will come from our authorized servicer’s inventory. This may include reconditioned, rebuilt, or new parts of like kind and quality to the original device parts.

Is there a deductible?
