Erm..."According to the report, Spy Pet essentially turns#Discord's fragmented platform, where users can post on thousands of#serversof their choosing, into an easy way to target one user's activity. Anyone who pays can decide to see what you posted where in one convenient location. In short, it's not good.404Media tested out Spy Pet, and found it works as advertised. While the outlet cannot confirm Spy Pet's claims of having the#dataof over 14,000 servers, 600 million users, and 3 billion messages, it was able to successfully purchase data from the service. Apparently, you can look up a specific user for about 10 cents. (I guess that's all we're worth.)"#Datasold for change to law enforcement and#AIcompanies, with the ability to look up specific users...#AI#Technology#Innovation#Data#Scraping#Consent#Privacy#Law#Ethics#ArtificialIntelligence

New Post: Feds hack LockBit, LockBit springs back. Now what? - https://lnkd.in/g-7bFWgg - Days after it was knocked offline by a sweeping, years-in-the-making law enforcement operation, the notorious Russia-based LockBit ransomware group has returned to the dark web with a new leak site complete with a number of new victims. In a verbose, borderline-rambling statement published Saturday, the remaining LockBit administrator blamed its own negligence for last week’s © 2024 TechCrunch. All rights reserved. Interesting announcement today from zkSNACKs - the company that operates the Wasabi mixer that it is blocking all US persons from using its privacy enhancing technology in the wake of the arrests and charges against the developers of Samouri. Here is the announcement. 📣 “ZKSNACKS IS NOW BLOCKING U.S. RESIDENTS AND CITIZENSSaturday, April 27th 2024—Effective immediately and until further notice, zkSNACKs is now blocking U.S. citizens and residents from visiting its websites, downloading and using Wasabi Wallet and any related products and services, including APIs and RPC interfaces. In light of recent announcements by U.S. authorities, zkSNACKs is now strictly prohibiting U.S. users from using its services. An IP address blocking for U.S. residents is effective on wasabiwallet.io, api.wasabiwallet.io and zksnacks.com.“U.S.” refers to “United States” and includes the several states of the United States and related territories. If you are a United States Citizen or United States Resident, you are not allowed to visit any sites aforementioned, download Wasabi Wallet or use the Wasabi Wallet coinjoin feature. This includes if you are a U.S. permanent resident or if you are an individual that holds a U.S. passport.”💡 Over the last two years we have seen a focus from US law enforcement and regulators on mixers including sanctions or criminal actions involving blender.io, Tornado Cash, ChipMixer, Sinbad and Samourai. In this case Wasabi is looking to get ahead of any potential action. The challenge for regulators is to ensure that lawful users are able to transact in a safe, secure and private manner, while, at the same time, prevent illicit actors from taking advantage of privacy enhancing technology. The answer ultimately lies in the technology itself. We are able to trace through many mixers today. That is the first line of defense against illicit actors. Second, solutions like zero knowledge proofs and digital id will allow us to ensure that only lawful users are able to engage with disintermediated services.

Here is some thought about A.I. revolution. In the next 2 (more/less) years every semi-public service (GitHub, for example) will go in privacy aware mode. They should. Otherwise it is like some private company making money on feeding my personal data to neuro-network to gain profit.

"A Spy.pet administrator acknowledged that Discord had banned at least some of its bots, but said the server counter on the website had zeroed out because of a rewrite to Spy.pet's code. They also said the disappearance of the website was unrelated to Discord's actions, and denied that Spy.pet was meant as a "tool to be used for harassment," despite reportedly offering the scraped content to Kiwi Farms, a site known for stalking, doxxing, and harassment."And now, we have an idea of the purpose. #AI #Ethics #Innovation #Technology #ArtificialIntelligence #Privacy #Data #Law #LegalAction

🔤 What is the Darkweb? The Darkweb is a hidden corner of the internet that necessitates special software for access, enabling users to navigate the digital realm with anonymity. By connecting to the Darkweb, users and servers cloak their identities. It's important to note that the Darkweb constitutes the majority of the internet, but only a mere 6% of it is accessible to the average user.🔤 What Do People Do on the Darkweb? The Darkweb serves various purposes for different users. Some individuals leverage this hidden space to protect their rights and freedoms, evade censorship and surveillance, or securely exchange confidential information. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the darker side of the Darkweb, where criminal elements thrive. Here, you can find illicit markets for weapons, drugs, stolen data, p*rnography, and a host of other illegal items. The Darkweb is a realm of duality, where freedom and criminality coexist.🔤 What's on the Darkweb? The Darkweb is a realm shrouded in secrecy, and its content is largely hidden from mainstream internet users. Here's a glimpse of what you can encounter in this clandestine space:⚠️ Forums and Sites for Political Activists, Journalists, and Dissidents: The Darkweb provides a haven for those seeking to express dissent, share sensitive information, and communicate without fear of censorship.⚠️ Silk Road: Once the most notorious drug marketplace on the Darkweb, Silk Road was shut down by the FBI in 2013, symbolizing both the allure and risks associated with the Darkweb's illegal trade.⚠️ The Hidden Wiki: Another essential Darkweb index, The Hidden Wiki offers a treasure trove of links to informative websites covering a range of topics.⚠️ Dream Market: Dream Market is the Darkweb's largest weapons marketplace, enabling users to buy and sell weapons, stolen credit cards, cheats, and other illicit goods. It's a hub for those seeking to exploit the Darkweb's shadowy opportunities.#darkweb #network #hacking
