Paula M. Hampton 1940 — 2023 Paula M. Hampton, 82, of Maryville/Alcoa, passed away Saturday (March 11, 2023) at U.T, Medical Center after a brief Illness. Surviving are two daughters, Letta Herbstritt and Rhonda Hampton; one son, David Hampton; three brothers, Gordon Swanger, Darrell Swanger, Lee Albert Swanger; several grand children and one great- grandchild along with many nieces and nephews In addition to her parents; Paula is preceded in death by two sons; Tommy Gibbons and Jerry Gibbons; three brothers and one sister. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

Knoxville Nancy Elizabeth Dayton 1945 — 2020 Nancy Elizabeth Dayton Ed.D. May 30, 1945 - December 5, 2020 Nancy Dayton grew up in Towanda, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Towanda High School she attended Duke University School of Nursing where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1967. In June 1967, she married Charles B. Herron, M.D., whom she met during her nursing training and with whom she had two children. Nancy practiced as a public health nurse before having children. In 1972, Nancy settled in Jackson, Tennessee. Nancy began teaching at Union University's College of Nursing in 1979. Nancy loved all aspects of education. She loved teaching. Edward E. Turner 2020 Edward E. Turner, age 73, of Corryton joined the heavenly choir on Sunday, November 1, 2020. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy, Coast Guard and Air Force. A member of Rutherford Memorial United Methodist Church, where he participated in missions work. Edward retired from KUB after 28 years as a lineman. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Charles Ray Robertson; her mother and father, Hattie and Zeb Dobbs; and two brothers, Carl and Harley Dobbs.
